A Wedding Planning Guide

Bee Create April 2, 2018

We got engaged almost 2 years ago, and we moved to London halfway between then and now, so we haven’t even had a chance to think about wedding plans, although we have a date….and it’s another 2 years away, but how nicely does 2020 roll off the tongue 😉 We have decided that we want to have our wedding in Cape Town, and when we visit this year June we are off to see a handful of our favourite summer venues!

I must admit, I have had a wedding Pinterest board for a very long time, and it is HUGE, filled with a few different styles over the years, and no doubt will change before the actual day.

Growing up in Cape Town and spending our days in the garden, and under the warm evening stars chatting with friends and family over a fire, the intimacy and warmth of a backyard wedding has become my dream and at the same time, requires the most planning

I will definitely be sharing little bits as we plan, without ruining the surprise of the big day. Here are some inspiration images of the style I’m going for at the moment, although the final venue will determine how the style materialises, but ultimately I want it to be intimate, romantic and all about our closest friends and family!

The key to planning our wedding is being organised, especially seeing as we are planning the whole wedding ourselves, based in a different country!

So I have set a guide for the next 2 years (with the help from Vogue) and I thought it would be great to share with anyone who is in the same boat, as before I started this list I was so super stressed out about how I’m ever going to plan and stay organised, and now I am positively excited!
